What the Judges are looking for: Clear evidence of safety protocols, such as partner beacon checks, group communication, and a "Safety-First" mindset.

The Blackline "Lenses & Landscapes" Cinematic Award

This award celebrates the storytellers of the backcountry. Sponsored by Blackline Ranch, we are looking for the submission that best captures the scale, beauty, and "vibe" of the ride through cinematic excellence.

What the Judges are looking for: Narrative flow (beginning, middle, and end), high-quality cinematography, creative camera angles, and balanced audio.

The Tempest "Clear Path" Award

In the backcountry, vision is a safety tool. Sponsored by Tempest Optics, this award is given to a rider in each of our three age brackets who demonstrates the best "Visual IQ"—the ability to read the snow and anticipate hazards before they happen.

What the Judges are looking for: Exceptional terrain awareness, looking ahead through technical maneuvers, and identifying safe zones versus terrain traps.
